In case you haven’t heard by now but the HTC has been replaced by the new control4 HC300.

What are the main differences?

I’m glad you asked…

First of all the IPThe dual processor, featuring both an ARM9 and DSP, not only enhances the speed of the controller, but essentially broadens the bandwidth of the system-based home controller has all of the things you loved about the HTC including serial, infrared, and video sensing ports, Ethernet, WiFi, and ZigBee , & can orchestrate multi-room audio, smart lighting, HVAC temperature control, and security too.

Well then what is new & improved?

1- The Control4 president says that “A lot of digital audio tasks can be offloaded to the second processor,” He goes on to say “Today, the HTC can do three to five simultaneous audio streams. The HC-300 is expected do about twice that, and it tests nicely”.

2- Finally the graphical user interface on your TV display is in HD. No more 480 control4 logo to look at. The home controller’s GUI now flashes up in 720 Hd on your big screen.

3-The exterior has been jazzed up a bit with an anodized black aluminum chassis and a glossy black faceplate.

4- Best of all the price remains the same at $699.

If you are looking for the ultimate smart remote for your Atlanta home theater room get a better look at the HC300 here.
